Keramo Station is located in a very high-altitude area at 2,260–2,360 meters above sea level, which gives the coffee its unique and complex profile. The red cherry maturation period is significantly longer than that of typical Ethiopian coffees. This extended maturation is believed to contribute to the coffee’s distinctive character. Coffees are dried on raised beds measuring 25 meters in length. Drying usually takes 15–20 days.
