Rwanda Gihanga Social Responsibility Project is a social coffee initiative in Northern Rwanda that brings together thousands of smallholder farmers growing Red Bourbon at altitudes of 1650–2000 meters. It is not a single farm but a community lot focused on farmer support, sustainability, and consistent quality. The coffee is fully washed, resulting in a clean and transparent cup profile. Its key advantages include a strong price-to-quality ratio, typically 85–86+ SCA, reliability, versatility for both filter and espresso, and a compelling social story. In the cup, it commonly shows notes of citrus, berries, caramel sweetness, and light chocolate or tea-like nuances; the acidity is bright yet balanced, with a medium body and a clean, sweet finish. Uganda Robusta is an important commercial coffee grown throughout Uganda, mainly at altitudes of 900–1400 m. It is a species of Coffea canephora, known for its resistance to heat and disease and its high yield, which is why it is widely used in blends and instant coffee, although specialty Robusta is also developing. Cup profile: orange, dark chocolate, and nuts, with balanced acidity, a rounded body, and a clean, sweet finish.
